Best Linktree Alternatives

Best Linktree Alternatives

I've been assisting clients in using social media to expand their businesses for the past five years. Linktree was my main tool for doing so.

For all these years, I was certain that Linktree met all of my needs despite a few drawbacks.

There were hardly any Linktree alternatives available when I first started this job. But a friend of mine showed me some new tools last week that really blew my mind.

Why you need a Linktree alternative

Customization has been one of my main issues with Linktree throughout the years. There are always customers who demand something unusual. You know, a unique layout, a particular image, a personal URL, or to have several pages with various tools.

“They cannot replace websites”, I used to warn them, because I thought that Link In Bio tools are just simple apps. But I was mistaken!

I used to inform my clients that there were only two ways to make payments when using Linktree: PayPal or a credit card. Yes, we did lose some sales to customers from nations without PayPal, but I didn't think there was much we could do about it. Once more, I was mistaken.

I thus made the decision to delve further into that enormous Link-In-Bio app list after discovering how narrow-minded I was. And I'll tell you, I came upon some real jewels!

Best Linktree competitors today

You need particular tools in order to create a profitable internet business. I thus conducted specific searches when browsing the applications.

The three requirements were:

1. Customization. How creatively can I push my designs? 2. Features. Beyond basic links, what more does the app provide? 3. Price. How much is it going to cost me?

Taplink's Main Page

I was immediately drawn in when I saw that Taplink bills itself as a tool for "creating a high converting landing page and converting your visitors into customers."

To express your brand, you may alter anything: fonts, colors, or graphics. Additionally, customers of Taplink have access to 380 fully editable prebuilt designs and 60 business templates. There are many features in Taplink as well. Custom maps, FAQ, and review sections, as well as the ability to incorporate video and audio content.

Oh, and if you have a custom domain, you may also use it.

Unlike Taplink, which enables you to build many pages and change each of them, Linktree's primary objective is to generate a single page with all of your links.

You may utilize 44 different payment processors to sell globally in addition to essential add-ons like messaging applications, forms, and analytics.

When I saw how effective a tool Taplink is, I assumed the cost would be insane. Yet it isn't.

You may make your page using the free version, however, there are some limitations.

The monthly cost for the Pro plan is $2. Business costs $4.50.

In contrast, a Starter account from Linktree costs $5 each month. Pro costs $9 a month. And Premium costs $24 each month.

Pros.

  • A sizable collection of 380 pre-made designs and 60 unique templates;
  • Additional 17 blocks besides links (text, images, sliders, videos, etc.)
  • Business tools (statistics, payment processors, email marketing, etc. )
  • Several pages;
  • A free version is offered.

Cons.

  • Some helpful features (like real-time statistics to track connection performance) are only accessible in subscription editions.
  • It took me some time to get used to the new interface. But that's merely a result of my excessive usage of Linktree. I now find that every new app seems strange.

#2. Shorby

Shorby's Main Page

In order to compete with Linktree, Shorby was developed. They aspired to be familiar but superior.

As a result, they have similar customizing choices to Linktree. They try to keep things simple and avoid using any templates. You may only use either a picture or a color as your background.

Shorby is loaded with features. You may display a variety of media, including podcasts, Shopify businesses, and videos. But for some reason, there are absolutely no choices for receiving money.

Similar to Taplink, Shorby lets you build many pages, but the number of them you may utilize is determined by your plan.

It's odd that Shorby doesn't offer anything for free.

Their monthly pricing choices begin at $12. Additionally, be prepared to spend $24 per month if you want to use statistics or wish to display some videos. $82 monthly is their most costly plan.

In all honesty, I just don't get why I would pay so much more after Linktree (and Taplink).

Pros.

  • Numerous pages;
  • Many functions;
  • A minimalist appearance.

Cons.

  • Poor customization possibilities;
  • No free version;
  • And no payment processors.

#3. Beacons

Beacons' Main Page

With content in mind, Beacons was created. The app's purpose is to assist influencers and content producers in maintaining contact with their fans and generating online sales.

Even their bespoke choices are designed with content development in mind. Themes are the way they structure their designs (like gaming, music, fashion, etc.). Again, it's quite simple, but at least it's unique.

One distinctive element of Beacons is the ability to show the number of all your followers. They enable content providers to incorporate their work from a variety of platforms and have robust analytics.

You must be able to collect payments in order to sell the goods, right? Beacons, therefore, provide consumers with four choices:

  • Credit cards
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • PayPal

Beacons only offers two alternatives when it comes to prices. :

  • Free
  • Professional ($10 each month)

Pros.

  • Numerous pages;
  • Special features;
  • Free version is offered.

Cons.

  • Simple customization possibilities;
  • Four payment processors.

#4. Carrd

Carrd's Main Page

A complicated tool for building one-page websites is Carrd. It's frequently used as a link-in-bio tool, but it may be used for more than that.

Carrd offers customers a selection of templates they may alter, much like Taplink. Changes may be made to fonts, pictures, and colors.

Carrd is, sadly, only functional as a single-page website. Therefore, you must arrange all your content blocks on one page. It is just impossible to make distinct landing pages for each of your items.

The Pro-users of Carrd are also given access to a large number of features (such as forms and analytics).

There are two variants of Carrd that differ in price:

Free. A straightforward one-page website without widgets or analytics; Pro; For $10 per month you can use all the extra features and a unique domain.

Pros.

  • Wide range of functionality;
  • 138 built-in templates;
  • Free version.

Cons.

  • Only one page per site;
  • Only Pro users get access to statistics.

#5. Milkshake

Milkshake's Main Page

With Milkshake, you make pages as cards. They can stand out thanks to their original design concept.

Milkshake has 17 editable unique themes for personalization. All of the cards allow for the addition of images, titles, and links.

However, the major issue with Milkshake is that you cannot change it on your browser because it lacks a Desktop version. The official app on your phone is the only method to accomplish it.

There are several helpful but basic features. Milkshake gives statistics but prevents you from getting paid. Although you may make up to 5 cards, the available designs are quite constrained.

A Free version is available, and you may pay $2.50 to get their icon taken from your page.

Pros.

  • Unique design concept;
  • User-friendly interface;
  • Numerous pages;
  • Free version.

Cons.

  • Absence of a desktop version;
  • Phone apps only;
  • No payment processors;
  • Maximum of 5 pages.

Which one should you use?

Here is a comparison table with all the details so you can pick the one that is best for you!

Therefore, Taplink is your pick if you're seeking a completely customized multi-page website with a ton of features and prebuilt layouts.

Beacons or Milkshake are two easy apps you should try if you want to communicate with your followers.

Use Carrd if you want to build a single-page website.

Additionally, utilize Shorby if you want to maintain the fundamental Linktree concept and are willing to pay more.
